GENM Risk Disclosures

These Risk Disclosures are part of the GENM Terms of Service. They explain the limits of GENM's data, Historical Viewers and articles. Please read them before relying on anything on genm.com.

  1. Who This Applies To
    GENM is intended for people 18 and older, in places where using it is lawful.
  2. Publisher Status
    GENM is an independent publication operated by Zemria LLC. Zemria LLC is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor or any other regulated financial adviser, and GENM does not give advice tailored to any person's circumstances. GENM's authors are not presented as licensed financial, legal or tax professionals.
  3. No Investment, Legal or Tax Advice
    Everything on GENM is general and impersonal, for information and education only. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or to follow any strategy. Any financial, legal or tax decision is yours alone. A qualified professional can advise on your own circumstances.
  4. Third-Party Data & Information
    GENM uses publicly available data published by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, including Treasury Fiscal Data datasets, Treasury interest rate data and Treasury International Capital (TIC) data, which the Federal Reserve Bank of New York collects on Treasury's behalf. GENM is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Federal Reserve or any government agency, and they are not responsible for GENM's use of their data.
    Figures are shown with their Treasury record dates and may later be revised by Treasury. Treasury may also publish late, change definitions or line names, or discontinue a series. GENM collects and processes this data automatically and runs regular checks against Treasury's published figures, but errors in collection, processing or display can still occur, and GENM does not warrant that any figure is accurate, complete or current.
    Businesses, individuals and other entities that use data, historical viewers or content from GENM in commercial financial products, services or analytics assume full responsibility for verifying that data against the original published sources.
  5. Illustrations, hypothetical speculation and any c​alculations
    GENM labels figures by type:
    HISTORICAL: figures reported by Treasury for past record dates.

    MY SCENARIO: the same arithmetic using a pace or inputs you choose. Results change with the inputs.
    Illustrated dates and amounts, including debt limit dates and debt milestones, are not forecasts. Actual figures depend on many factors that GENM's tools do not model, including laws passed by Congress and actions taken by Treasury, and they may differ substantially from any illustration or scenario. Past patterns may not repeat. Where GENM compares series or periods, a historical relationship is an association, not proof of cause.
    Calculated figures such as paces, percentiles, spreads and shares depend on the method used. Our Methodology Disclosures describe each method.
  6. AI-Assisted Content
    Some GENM content, including the Weekly Data Article, is written with the help of artificial intelligence from Treasury data. It is published automatically after automated checks of its figures, wording and legal review items, and a person reviews it after publication. These checks reduce errors but cannot remove them. If an error is found, GENM may correct or remove the content.
  7. Timeliness and Updates
    GENM content reflects the data available as of its stated record dates. Articles are not updated after publication unless GENM chooses to correct them, and GENM has no duty to update any content when Treasury publishes new or revised figures.
  8. Conflicts of Interest
    Zemria LLC, its owners and its personnel may hold U.S. Treasury securities or other financial assets, including assets connected to topics GENM covers. GENM does not accept payment from any issuer or third party to feature or favor any security, issuer or view.
  9. Service Availability
    GENM relies on third-party hosting, data delivery and email services. Tools, pages, data and emails may be interrupted, delayed, changed or discontinued at any time, and GENM does not warrant that any alert or email will arrive on time or at all.
  10. Your Responsibility
    You are responsible for how you use GENM. Before relying on any figure for a decision, compare it with the original published source from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
  11. Warranties, Liability and Disputes
    The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Warranty disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnification, governing law and venue are set out in sections 10 through 14 of the GENM Terms of Service, which apply to these Risk Disclosures.
